Buffini & Company Donates $10,000 to San Diego Habitat for Humanity
Company’s donation presented after Members surpass “Personal Note Challenge.”
CARLSBAD, Calif. (Dec. 22, 2022) – Buffini & Company has donated $10,000 on behalf of its members to San Diego Habitat for Humanity. The check was presented Dec. 15 by Buffini & Company’s J’aime Nowak, director of community development, and Derek Jones, director of community relations, to Kwofi Reed, president and CEO of San Diego Habitat for Humanity at Habitat’s headquarters in San Diego.
Buffini & Company members participated in a note-writing challenge Oct. 13 through Nov. 17 where they were encouraged to write notes to their real estate clients as a personalized way to connect with them. If registrants of the Member Challenge tracked an average of 25 notes or more, Buffini & Company agreed to donate $10,000 to San Diego Habitat for Humanity. The members more than surpassed the goal, according to Jones, with a total of 49,000 notes (an average of 37 per registrant) written.
“This Personal Note Challenge was so powerful because you can imagine the ripple effect that 49,000 notes have, not just amongst our members, but every person they wrote a note to and anyone that was inspired to write notes of their own,” Jones said. “It truly is a ‘pebbles on a pond’ situation. You couple that with the fact that all their activity led to a $10,000 donation to a great organization like Habitat for Humanity and the impact grows exponentially.”
For Habitat, the Buffini & Company donation was a very welcome gift, Reed said.
